Rs 1.2 cr water supply scheme for Manie

Dharamshala, Oct 9 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Sarveen Choudary today laid the foundation stone of a model water supply scheme, Manie-Pargode, which would supply water to twenty villages of three panchayats in this district.

The project would cost Rs 1.2 crore would be completed in two stages.

Mr Rajeev Mahajan, SDO IPH Manie said that water for the scheme would be lifted from the Gaj river by providing an infiltration gallery.

He said that through this model scheme efforts would be made to have equal distribution of water to all consumers irrespective of the altitude and level of area.

Mr Mahajan said that 5,000 residents of 20 villages falling under Manie, Pargode and Brubalahar panchayats would be benefited by this scheme.
