Three dead, 5 injured in road mishap in Punjab

Muktsar, Oct 7 (UNI) Three persons including a woman were killed and five others sustained injuries when the jeep in which they were travelling collided head-on with a truck between Malout and Lamdi towns on NH-10 today.

According to the police the victims were returning to Malout after attending a ring ceremony at Khakawali village when the mishap occured. The deceased and the injured were related to each other.

The police has registered a case against the truck driver, who absconded after the accident.
