Three killed, 27 injured in Jammu road accident
Jammu, Oct 6 (UNI) Three persons were killed and twenty seven others injured in twin road accidents in Jammu region during the last 24 hours, police sources here said.
''Two persons were killed while 27 others were injured when an ill- fated mini bus in which they were travelling, skidded off the road and over turned at Barnarha near Majalta in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir,'' police told UNI adding that the vehicle was on its way from Ramkote to Manwal when it met with an accident.
Police parties rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to the Primary Health Centre Majalta where two of the passengers were declared brought dead.
The deceased have been identified as Mohan Lal, 24 and Isher Dass, 45, both residents of Majalta.
Meanwhile, one motorcyclist died on the spot when his two-wheeler skidded off the road near Vijaypur on Jammu-Kathua National Highway yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Bishwa Band alias Sonu, resident of Chack Bagla, district Samba.
