Eight dacoits arrested in Katihar

Katihar, Oct 6: In a major breakthrough, the local police arrested eight members of an interstate dacoit gang and recovered a huge cache of firearms from Barsoi police station area here last night.

According to police, the dacoits were arrested during a raid conducted on a tip-off.The bandits were planning to loot the weekly local market.

A huge cache of firearms had been recovered from the possession of the dacoits who were being interrogated.

The gang was active in the adjoining West Bengal district along with Bihar.
