Mumbai businessman robbed of valuables
Mumbai, Oct 5: Unidentified people broke into the house of a businessman at Lokhandwala, Andheri in the western suburbs here, and made away with gold ornaments worth Rs 15.5 lakh and Rs 1.5 lakh cash.
Mohammed Ibrahim Modak (40), a cloth merchant, and other members of his family had gone to their relatives place at 1500 hrs yesterday and on their return at 2300 hrs found the lock of the house broken and goods in their cupboard scattered, police said.
Gold ornaments worth Rs 15.5 lakh and cash of Rs 1.5 lakh was missing from the cupboard, according to the complaint lodged by Mr Modak.
