Three burnt alive as trailer rams into chemical tanker
Vadodara, Oct 4 (UNI) Three people were burnt alive and one injured when a chemical tanker caught fire after being hit by a trailer truck near Jarod, about 15 km from here today.
According to Jarod police sources, the mishap occurred when the cleaner of the trailer truck, who was driving the vehicle, rammed into the tanker after breaking the road divider on the four-lane Halol road. The driver of the vehicle was reportedly sleeping.
Both driver and cleaner of the chemical tanker and another unidentified passenger were burnt alive as their vehicle caught fire immediately after the accident.
Fire tenders from Halal were rushed to the spot to put out the blaze. The injured has been admitted to Vadodara's SSG civil hospital, the sources said.
