Salaries of contractual re-employed medical teachers notified
Chandigarh, Oct 3 (UNI) The Punjab Government today notified the salaries to be paid to contractual re-employed medical teachers upto the age of 65 years for Government Medical College Amritsar and Patiala.
According to an official spokesman, for those who are not getting any pension but employed as professor would get Rs 55,000 per month while associate professor would get Rs 48,000. In the same category, assistant professor would get Rs 43,000, lecturer Rs 31,000 and senior resident/medical officer would get Rs 25,000.
For those who are getting pension from states, Centre or armed forces the pay rates for professor would be Rs 44,400, associate professor Rs 39,000, assistant professor Rs 34,000, lecturer Rs 23,900 and senior resident/medical officers Rs 19,100.
Re-employed medical teachers would be allowed private practice as they would not be getting non-practicing allowance, the spokesman added.
