No plan to bring out small car: Hindustan Motors

New Delhi, Oct 3: On Friday, Oct 3 CK Birla Group company Hindustan Motors clarified that it does not plan to bring out any small car. ''...we do not plan to develop any small car,'' Hindustan Motors Chairman C K Birla told reporters here during the launch of its Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) 'Outlander'.

Producer of the famous Ambassador car, the company is involved in the manufacturing of passenger car-- Mitsubishi Lancer in the mid size premium segment, and has earlier brought in the SUV-- Mitsubishi Pajero into the Indian market in collaboration with Japan's Mitsubishi Motors.

It also manufactures the RTV-- a multi utility vehicle which has successfully made inroads into urban, semi-urban and rural markets.
