Gadkari demands CBI inquiry into Farmers package misappropriation
Mumbai, Oct 3 (UNI) Maharashtra BJP unit president Nitin Gadkari today demanded a CBI inquiry into the alleged misappropriation of cows and agriculture equipment to be distributed among the families of farmers, who had committed suicide in Yavatmal district.
Mr Gadkari, in a statement issued here, blamed the Congress-NCP leaders from the district for the misappropriation.
He said about 5,408 cows worth Rs 8.5 crore were allotted for the families apart from the agricultural equipment.
He said the cows were expected to increase the milk supply of the district to 30,000 litres, but in fact it had come down by 1,172 litres in August.
