Silver up, gold down in closing session

Mumbai, Oct 2 (UNI) A mixed trend was observed in the precious metals today as silver surged by Rs 95 per kg on improved demand, while gold eased by Rs 45 per ten gm, following low buying support from ornament makers, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said.
