Man kills paramour for refusing to drink liquor

Nagpur, Oct 2 (UNI) A man allegedly killed his paramour after she refused to consume liquor because of the ongoing Navratri festival, police said today.

According to police, Sushila Mohode (35) allegedly had an illicit relationship with Nandkumar Chokhandare (40), who owned a puncture repair shop. Both were accustomed to consumption of liquor, police said.

However, Nandkumar was infuriated yesterday, when Sushila declined to drink liquor with him due to the ongoing Navratri festival, and hit her head with a bicycle air pump, injuring her seriously, police said.

Sushila succumbed to her wounds at a local hospital later, police added.
