K'taka CM offers prayer at Tirumala temple

Tirumala, Oct 2 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara.

Mr Yeddyurappa, who arrived here from Bangalore by a special helicopter yesterday, proceeded to Tirumala temple to attend the first day of sri Vari annual Brahmotsavam where he was received by Officer on Special Duty(OSD) Chinnamgari Ramana.

After participating in the Peddashesha vahanam procession and darshan, he stayed at the hill top.

Before leaving to Bangalore, the Chief Minister had darshan in the morning and dropped cash as offerings in the sri vari hundi.
