Gadhian values should be re-established: Dr Jakhar

Bhopal, Oct 2 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Governor Balram Jakhar today said re-establishment of values of Mahatma Gandhi can help in ending the ills plaguing the society.

Dr Jakhar was addressing a prayer meeting organised at Gandhi Bhavan here on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.

Calling upon the people to practice honesty, love and brotherhood and discard dishonesty and separatism, he urged the youth and children to work towards establishing Gandhian ideals at home and society and country.

Earlier, the Governor garlanded the statue of the 'Father of the Nation'. A one-minute silence was observed, followed by floral tributes paid to Mahatma Gandhi and late Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri.

The Governor awarded the students who won various competitions organised by the Gandhi Bahavan.
