Ropeway at Dhuandhar waterfall

Jabalpur, Oct 1 (UNI) As part of development of facilities at the famous marble rock tourist spot at Bheraghat on the bank of Narmada river at the city outskirts, a 1140 metre long ropeway is proposed to provide a direct link from the main entry point to the picturesque waterfall popularly known as 'Bandarkoodini' in the middle of the river.

The technical feasibility report of the ropeway was being prepared, according to Jabalpur Divisional Commissioner Prabhat Parashar.

While reviewing the arrangements for Narmada Mahotsav at Bheraghat, Mr Parashar directed the Forest department to take up afforestation work on a large scale after removing all encroachments and regulating the stalls put up by marble artisans.

Bheraghat Town Panchayat was also directed to set up a Haat market. Development works would be carried out in a systematic manner without tampering with the natural beauty of the marble rocks, he said.
