K'taka Bajrang Dal Chief resigns from post
Mangalore, Oct 1 (UNI) The Bajrang Dal Karnataka State convener Mahendra Kumar today resigned to his post apparently following instructions to that effect from the organisation higher ups.
According to sources, Mr. Kumar had sent his resignation letter to Mr. Prakash Sharma, the Central Convener of Bajrang Dal.
He was arrested by the state police following his claim that the rightist Hindu organisation was behind the series of attacks on places of worship belonging to a minority community in the state last month for allegedly carrying out 'forcible' conversions .
He as later arrested by the Mangalore police and was subsequently released on bail.
