Kadam crticises Mah Congress-NCP government
Mumbai, Oct 1 (UNI) Leader of Opposition in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Ramdas Kadam has criticised the Congress-NCP government in the state, alleging that its showed partiality even while giving compensation to the blast victims.
Mr Kadam, who completed three years as leader of the Opposition today, while speaking to reporters here, said the government has given compensation of Rs five lakh to the blast victims in Malegaon, while the same ratio has not been maintained while giving compensation to the members of the majority community.
He alleged that this was a move to woo the voters, keeping in view the upcoming assembly elections. He also criticised Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil for the incidents of riots. No such incident occurred during the BJP regime, he claimed.
Mr Kadam also said he would contest next elections from Guhagar constituency in Ratnagiri, the seat currently held by BJP's Dr Vinay Natu. He said in the delimitation much of the parts of his constituency has gone in Guhagar and expected that BJP leader Gopinath Munde will consider his demand.
