Haryana to create RTI Cell in CS office

Chandigarh, Oct 1 (UNI) The Haryana government has decided to create a Right to Information (RTI) Cell in the office of the Chief Secretary to ensure timely response to RTI queries.

A letter to this effect issued by the Administrative Reforms Department today stated that the main function of the RTI Cell would be to co-ordinate RTI work with the departments, an official spokesman said.

The Administrative Secretaries had been asked to designate one officer in each department as Nodal PIO who would be part of RTI Cell and would co-ordinate with other PIOs of their respective departments to ensure effective implementation of web based RTI system.
