Chinese pistol, ammunition recovered in Poonch

Jammu, Oct 1 (UNI) Security forces launched a joint search operation and recovered a chinese pistol and other assorted materials from a hideout in Poonch district Jammu and Kashmir today.

''Based on a tip-off, troops of 37 Rashtriya Rifles and the Special Operation Group (SOG) launched searches in Gursai Nallah in Mendhar tehsil in the late evening today,'' sources told UNI.

One Chinese pistol, one Chinese magazine, one sniper magazine, one pouch, 12 pistol rounds, one radio set and three AK magazines have been recovered.

The area has been cordoned off but no arrests have been made so far, the sources added.
