Bomb threat to college turns out hoax
Hubli, Oct 1 (UNI) Tension prevailed for some time at St Michel PU College in the city following a bomb threat call, which forced teachers and students to rush out of the building.
However, the bomb threat turned out to be a hoax call after police with the help of a dog squad searched the building thoroughly.
The anonymous call also sent shock waves in the city which had experienced large scale attacks on places of worship and bomb explosions. Three live bombs were also recovered on Hubli-Dharwad road recently.
The college authorities heaved a sigh of relief after police assured them that there was no bomb in the campus.
Police said some miscreants might have made the threat call from a Public booth.
