HC asks Marad accused to surender passports

Kochi, Sep 30 (UNI) Kerala High Court today ordered the 136 accused in the Marad Massacre Case to produce their passports before the Trial Court within seven days.

Ms Justice K Hema also directed those not having paspports to file an affidavit to the effect before the Trial Court.

The order was given while hearing a petition filed by the State Government seeking directions from the court to the accused to produce their passports following information they were trying to go abroad.

Nine lives were lost in the massacre which took place in 2003.
