Entertainment Tax exemption for all Ramleela Progs in Delhi
New Delhi, Sep 30 (UNI) Delhi Finance Minister A K Walia today said the city Government has exempted all entertaining activities to be organised during 10 days of Ramleela at different places in the Capital city.
This includes swings and other entertaining activities which attract large number of Ramleela spectators including children.
It may be recalled that the city Government had exempted staging of Ramleela as part of Kala Sanjivani Samaroh for a period of 10 days in a year vide its new Excise Policy.
The Government have been receiving large number of representations requesting exemption of entertainment tax on entry tickets for swings and other entertaining activities. Keeping in view the interest of spectators during Ramleelas, the Excise Department has decided to grant entertainment tax exemption to these activities.
