Court remands Rajpurohit to police custody till Oct 6

Mumbai, Sep 30 (UNI) A local court today remanded Devisingh Padamsingh Rajpurohit, a look alike of Abhishek Bachchan, to police custody till October six, for allegedly sending a threating SMS to Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan and demanding extortion money.

Rajpurohit (25), hailing from Rajasthan, was produced before the 37th Metropolitan Magistrate after he was brought to the city yesterday, following his arrest by the Rajasthan police for sending an SMS to Mr Bachchan on September 26, demanding Rs 25 crore and threatening to kill him if his demand was not met within three days.

Rajpurohit has played small roles in a few Bollywood films and also provided dummy to Abhishek Bachchan in his upcoming film ''Drona''.
