Construction of two more national highways in HP sanctioned
Bilaspur, (HP), Sep 30 (UNI) The Union Government has sanctioned the construction of two more national highways in Himachal Pradesh, Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal said today.
These will be along the Nagrota-Bagwan-Ranital Mubarakpur and Paonta-Sahib-Shillai-Hatkoti routes, he said while addressing an impressive public meeting at Gwalthai industrial area in this district after inaugurating a steel manufacturing plant in private sector.
He said the state government would spend Rs 240 crore for the construction of 12,000 rooms for industrial workers.
He also added that road connectivity was the basic requirement for development and was being accorded top priority by the government.
Prof Dhumal said Himachal Pradesh had been adjudged as the investment friendly state and awarded the ''Diamond State Award'' which spoke of the sincere efforts of the state government to facilitate the investors and provide them all facilities in setting up their units.
He assured the industrial investors that their interests would be protected and congenial investment environment maintained in the state.
