UP CM greets people on Agrasen Jayanti

Lucknow, Sep 29 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mayawati today congratulated the people of the state, especially the Vaishya Samaj, on the eve of Agrasen Jayanti.

In a message, the CM said the contribution of the Vaishya community was very important in the development of the country. She said Maharaja Agrasen accorded importance to the communal harmony and taught the Vaishya community to serve people of all the communities with senstivity.

His teachings were relevant in the present day's context as well and all of us should take a resolve for all round development of the society and develop our country into an ideal state, Ms Mayawati noted.

The CM further asked the Vaishya Samaj to come forward for the welfare of the Sarva Samaj by following the policy of Sarvajan Hitay, Sarvajan Sukhay.
