Scribes assaulted in Manipur
Imphal, Sep 28 (UNI) All Manipur Working Journalists Union (AMWJU) has expressed unhappiness over the alleged assault of journalists on Friday night by personnel of Indian Reserve Battalion.
The matter was discussed in a general body meeting here yesterday at the Press Club.
Later senior police and members of AMWJU discussed the matter.
Havaldar Peter Gangmei, Unit Commander of 'D' Coy, 3rd IRB was placed under suspension for manhandling five media persons at Wahengbam Leikai here.
