Fake currency notes seized, one held
Malappuram, Sep 28 (UNI) Police today seized counterfeit notes with a face value of Rs 56,500 from a tourist home at Perninthalmanna in the district and arrested a person.
Sleuths on a tip-off raided Star Tourist home located on Pernithalmanna-Mannarkkad route and seized the currency notes in Rs 1,000, 500 and 100 denominations and arrested Kamala Prasad alias Prasad (50), a native of Pathanamthitta district, police said.
The machines used for printing the currency notes were also seized from the room, police added.
