Big Music ties up with Paramount Home Entertainment

Mumbai, Sep 28 (UNI) BIG Music&Home Entertainment, a Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group company, has secured exclusive home video distribution rights for Paramount Home Entertainment, DreamWorks Animation SKG Inc and DreamWorks Pictures in India and Sri Lanka.

As part of a strategic alliance announced here yesterday, BIG Music&Home Entertainment would market and distribute home video products from the libraries of prestigious and internationally recognised brands such as Paramount Pictures, DreamWorks Pictures, DreamWorks Animation, Paramount Vantage, MTV Films and Nickelodeon Movies.

Paramount's library ranges from classic catalogue titles such as 'The Godfather' films, 'The Ten Commandments' and 'Roman Holiday' to contemporary blockbusters like the 'Mission Impossible' series and 'Transformers'. DreamWorks Animation's acclaimed titles include the 'Shrek' series, 'Shark Tale' and 'Madagascar', while DreamWorks Pictures' catalogue includes 'A Beautiful Mind', 'American Beauty' and 'Munich'.

BIG Music&Home Entertainment has a pan-India distribution network that would allow the Paramount and DreamWorks catalogues to reach urban and mass markets alike. The companies plan to release these titles, along with a strong slate of new blockbuster titles, in the coming months.

BIG Music&Home Entertainment had previously announced licensing agreements with two major Hollywood Studios, Warner Home Video and Universal Pictures, to market and distribute their home video products.
