Attempt to molest German national in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, Sep 28 (UNI) A German national was kidnapped and an attempt was made to molest her by a group of youngsters in the city last night, police sources today said.

According to police, the foreigner, in her twenties, was kidnapped by the youngsters outside a posh hotel in Sector 17 late in the night. She has gone to the hotel with a group of local friends. The youths forced her into a car and took her to an undisclosed place. There they made an attempt to molest her but she resisited their attempt.

The sources said the girl was later dropped near the house of her friends in sector 20. The matter was reported to the police.

The police has registered a case of kidnapping and attempted molestation at the Sector 17 police station. No arrests have been made so far. Neither has the girl been able to identify the spot where she was taken after her abduction.
