Naqvi calls for death penalty for terrorists

Moradabad, Sep 27 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party vice-president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi today demanded that in view of the increasing incidence of terror in the country, the Centre identify terrorists and send them to the gallows.

Talking to reporters after addressing a 'Vijay Sankalp Rally' here, Mr Naqvi said the lax attitude of the United Pregressive Alliance (UPA) government was responsible for strengthening motives of the terrorists.

''If this situation continues, the cultural integrity of the country will be destroyed,'' he said.

''The need is to identify terrorists and hang them in publice.

The second attack today in Delhi within a fortnight shows that they are challenging the government,'' he said.

He added that the government also needed to take action against those who were sheltering terrorists.
