Pakistan military fires at NATO helicopters

Kabul, Sept 25 : The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) helicopters in Afghanistan were fired upon by the Pakistan troops on Thursday, the international force said, adding there was no damage or casualties.

On the other hand Pakistani troops alleged that the NATO helicopters had breached the airspace but the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) stressed that the helicopters had not crossed Pakistani airspace.

"ISAF helicopters received small-arms fire from a Pakistan military checkpoint along the border near Tanai District, Khost while conducting routine operations in Afghanistan," ISAF said in a statement.

"There are no reports of any damages to the helicopters or any casualties," it added.

"ISAF forces and the Pakistani military are working together to resolve the matter," it said further.
