'Nanavati report brought out truth on Godhra carnage': BJP

New Delhi, Sep 25 (UNI) Hailing the report of Justice Nanavati Commission on Godhra train carnage, as 'objective and comprehensive', the BJP today said the report has rubbished the claims of Railway Minister Lalu Prasad who wanted people to believe that karsevaks were not attacked from outside.

BJP spokesman Prakash Javadekar said the report had brought out the truth that the slain karsevaks were indeed attacked by a mob from outside and they did not commit a mass suicide as suggested by the official committee headed by Justice Banerjee.

The police records and evidences produced before the apex court against the prime accused was strong and valid as their application for bail was rejected, he said.

The report of Justice Nanavati Commission presented to Gujarat Assembly would prove to be good evidence for convicting the accused persons responsible for the ghastly crime, he spokesman said.
