Congressional nod to N-deal in next couple of days: Mulford
Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland, Sep 25 (UNI) United States Ambassador to India David Mulford today voiced confidence that US Congress could put its seal of approval on the Indo-US nuclear deal in the ''next couple of days''.
Talking to reporters after the arrival of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh here, Mr Mulford said all aspects of the accord would be considered in the US Congress.
''We are looking at Dr Singh's visit with expectations and signs so far are positive,'' he added.
''It is a tribute to the US Congress that despite America's preoccupation with the financial crisis it has taken up the 123 agreement. What will happen can only be predicted, but we are positive,'' he said.
