Wipro and Oracle to co-develop new process integration packs
San Francisco Sept 22 (ANI/Business Wire India): Wipro Technologies, the global IT services division of Wipro Limited today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Oracle to co-develop and jointly market Process Integration Packs (PIPs) built on the Oracle Application Integration Architecture (AIA) for Communications.
Using these PIPs, Communications Service Providers (CSPs) will be able to bring services to market more quickly, identify new revenue streams through enhanced data analysis, and capitalize on new opportunities by rapidly adapting streamlined business processes.
The communications industry has historically been known to have a heterogeneous IT environment with complex business processes spanning multiple application silos. However, as traditional services rapidly commoditize, CSPs are increasingly focused on improving customer-centricity, launching new and differentiated service offerings, and reducing operational costs - all of which require a new, more flexible IT approach.
Oracle's Application Integration Architecture, based upon Oracle Fusion Middleware, delivers pre-built, extensible, mission-critical composite business processes across Oracle Communications applications including Oracle's Siebel CRM, Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management, Oracle Communications Service Fulfillment Suite, Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Communications Service Delivery, as well as third-party and legacy applications.
Process Integration Packs are pre-built products providing sustainable integrations across Oracle applications and enabling rapid implementation of a business process while reducing the cost and burden of integration.
Wipro will provide design, development and quality-assurance support to assist Oracle in developing and productizing AIA-based integrations for core operational processes in the communications industry. Wipro will also provide core development support. Additionally, Wipro will participate in joint go-to-market efforts with Oracle around these solutions.
Speaking on the occasion Sangita Singh, Senior Vice President, Wipro Technologies said "The co-development initiative underscores Wipro's thought leadership in Oracle applications-based services practice worldwide and will add new dimensions to our already very strong relationship with Oracle."
"The new agreement between Wipro and Oracle underscores our joint commitment to delivering competitive business value to service providers worldwide by helping them transform their businesses, launch next-generation services and offer superior customer experiences," said David Sharpley, Vice President of Product Marketing and Channels, Oracle.
