IDP observed in Tripura
Agartala, Sep 22 (UNI) Celebrating International Day of Peace (IDP), Universal Peace Foundation and Dream and Religious Youth Service here today planted trees at religious places of both Hindus and Christians to maintain unity and amity between the communities.
Addressing a gathering on the occasion Father Pascal condemned recent incidents in Orissa and bomb blast in New Delhi and Islamabad.
Expressing his concern he hoped, peace and harmony would become firmer and stronger with each passing day like a valuable medicinal plant.
'' It makes no sense to fight in the name of religion as every religion preaches peace and communal harmony,'' Mr J L Chakraborty, Secretary International Association for Religious Freedom said and called upon the common people to maintain peace for humanity.
