300 employees part ways with Kingfisher airlines

Mumbai, Sept 22 (UNI) A set of 300 employees of Kingfisher airlines have chosen to part ways with the company and put in their resignations.

The airlines spokesman, in a release issued here today, said as a token of the company's goodwill, it is offering all these employees a severance package, equal to two months gross salary for every completed year of service (subject to a minimum of three months pay-out).

As part of a concerted company-wide effort aimed at minimising the impact of the ongoing turbulence faced by the aviation industry, Kingfisher Airlines has, over the last six months, embarked on a series of restructuring measures designed to achieve cost savings, rationalisation and operational efficiencies, the release said.

Consequent upon rationalising the route network of the airline and having closely examined aircraft utilisation, it was identified that the surplus aircraft, which are now redundant, are being returned back to lessors, the release added.
