Gorakhpur varisty VC apprehends threat on life

Gorakhpur, Sep 21 (UNI) Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur univeristy sources have feared a threat on the life of vice-chancellor Prof N S Gajbhiye.

The Varsity sources today claimed that Prof Gajbhiye reveived two threatening letters through speed-post and courier at his residence.

The letters, allegedly sent by one Pintu Singh of Bihar, warned him to leave the city and go to Maharashtra before Deepawali.

''A plan for your murder has already been prepared under the contract killing of Rs 10 lakh,'' the letter read.

The Prof had received a similar warning through telephone earlier too.

Meanwhile, the senior police and administrative officials have been apprised about the same.
