Delegation of 11 MLAs to meet PM over security for Adityanath

Gorakhpur, Sep 21 (UNI) A delegation of 11 MLAs today left for Delhi to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and demand enhanced security for BJP MP Yogi Adityanath and the Gorakhnath temple here.

The delegation will meet Dr Singh tomorrow and demand Z plus security cover for Yogi Adityanath, who recently has a narrow escape in an attack upon his convoy in Azamgarh, sources said.

BJP MLA from Gorakhpur (Sadar) Dr Radha Mohan Das Agarwal today claimed in front of newspersons that Yogi Adityanath, also the Gorakshpeeth successor, was a target of the terrorists.

The temple was also under threat, he added.

On September 7, Yogi Adityanath's cavalcade was attacked in Azamgarh district.
