17 killed due to heavy rains in HP

Shimla, Sep 20 (UNI) As many as 17 people were killed in house collapse and landslides following heavy rains in Shimla district since last night, police sources said today.

Shimla Superiendent of Police RM Sharma said that four children and a man, all from Nepal, were killed at Chadgoan in subdivision Rohru last night when a house collapsed.

In another incident a couple from Jharkhand identified as Sukh Ram (27) and Muni (26) and their child were killed at Kangna in New Shimla when a Kiosk collapsed last night.
