K'taka Govt decides to develop Chamundi Hills
Bangalore, Sep 19 (UNI) Karnataka Muzrai Minister Krishnaiah Chetty today said the State Government has decided to develop the Chamundi Hills at Mysore with a cost of Rs 35 crore for providing basic amenities to devotees, who visit the religious place.
Mr Chetty told reporters here that the government would notify the area for preventing further encroachment of the Chamundi Hills and also set up a Chamundi Hills Development Authority soon.
He said the government has given up the idea of setting up a rope way at the place following reports of adverse impact.
