Karnataka Government to launch E-Women
Hubli, Sept 19 (UNI) The Karnataka Government today launched E-Women facility to provide information about the world on the door step.
The first E-Women centre was opened at Yarguppi village of Kundgol taluk in Dharwad district by Minister for Women and Child Development Mr P Narendra.
He said that the project has been directed towards reducing the gap between cities and villages. It will also begin a new era in information sector thus paving the way for rural development.
The vision 2020 enunciated by former President A P J Abdul Kalam has been the inspiration to launch such programme. Rural women will be exposed to new technology and a consistent training will be provided to them, he added.
