Two SPOs died in Jammu

Jammu, Sep 16 (UNI) Two Special Police Officers (SPOs) died in different incidents in Kathua and Doda districts of Jammu and Kashmir, sources here today said.

A SPO was killed while his two associates were injured after their motor-cycle was hit by a tractor-trolley near Lakhanpur on Jammu-Punjab Border late last evening.

''SPO identified as Rinku posted in Crime and Railways Police at Lakhanpur area, was on his way back to his village Basantpur along with two others on motor-cycle late last night,'' sources told UNI.

The motorcyclists were hit by a tractor trolley at Basohli Morh.

The SPO received multiple head injuries and died while being shifted to hospital and his critically injured associates were admitted to the District hospital Kathua.

Meanwhile, in another incident, a SPO died under mysterious circumstances while he was on his way from Kishtwar to Padder in Doda district.

''SPO identified as Ghulam Rasool, resident of Dadpath, died mysteriously when he was accompanying his colleagues in a vehicle,'' sources said.

However, the people of the area alleged that the SPO has been killed by his colleagues and demanded inquiry behind the incident.
