SWR to build staff quarters at Castle Rock

Hubli, Sep 16 (UNI) South Western Railway General Manager Praveen Kumar laid the foundation stone for construction of 20 units of type-1 quarters for Railway staff at Castle Rock yesterday.

Mr Kumar said that it was very much required for the staff and hence it was proposed to construct 20 units of type-1 quarters with a 41 square meters plinth area of each unit and will have one bed room, kitchen, drawing room with attached bath and lavatory with parking space at ground floor level.

He said these quarters will be constructed at an approximate total cost of Rs 1.42 crore.

These quarters are likely to be completed by 39 months period and with this the staff demand for accommodation at Castle Rock will be met, he added.
