DNA reports of rape-accused cops negative in Sarita case

Ambala, Sep 16 (UNI) The DNA report two Police officials accused of rape in the sensational Sarita suicide case of Panchkula, was found negative in the reports received from the forensic department, it was submitted in the special court here.

The special CBI Magistrate Dr Abdul Majid had ordered the central jail superintendent to collect blood of the two accused, Silk Ram and Rajbir, for DNA test on August 9.

Copy of chargesheet submitted by the CBI to the court was supplied to the defence counsel today.

The special CBI Magistrate has fixed September 30 as next date for hearing in the case.

Sarita, a Rohtak-resident had consumed poison on June 9 in police headquarters in Panchkula allegeing ''in-action'' by police officials regarding her compalaints of ''rape'' and ''harrassment'' by the two accused cops.
