Kashmir University students protested against HR violations

Srinagar, Sep 15 (UNI) Students of the Kashmir University today boycotted their classes and protested against alleged Human Rights violations being committed by the CRPF and police in the valley.

Raising pro freedom slogans, the students did not attend their classes and held massive demonstrations within the campus at Hazratbal.

The students alleged that CRPF and police killed unarmed and peaceful processionists in the Kashmir valley and injured hundred others.

They further said security forces were now harassing students and others, who have participated in the processions rcently.

The students, who marched through different departments, threatned to launch an agitation if the alleged attrocities by the security forces were not stopped immediately.

However, examinations of the university were held normally.
