EDS teachers to go on hunger strike
Shimla, Sep 15 (UNI) About 450 teachers appointed under Education Gurantee Scheme (EDS), who are on indefinite strike outside state secretariat for last 68 days, have decided to go on hunger-strike if the state government would not concedes to their demands.
Demanding regularisation of their services and retaining their services at par with adhoc teachers, the president of action committee, Jai Lal said that "We are facing the threat of losing our services. We would resort to hunger strike if the state government would not listen to our demands." Meanwhile, the EDS teachers today held a protest march from Deputy Commissioner's office to Naz restaurant here.
