CBI nabs bank officer for accepting bribe

Narsinghpur, MP, Sep 15 (UNI) Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) sleuths arrested a nationalised bank's Field Officer at this district's Kareli this evening, while he was accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000, CBI sources said.

Guman Singh, posted at the State Bank of India's Kareli branch, had demanded the bribe from Kareli-resident Ashish Nema regarding a matter related to a cheque.

Mr Nema alerted the CBI and Singh was arrested red-handed at the branch.
