Ram temple to remain core issue on agenda: Ananthkumar
Bangalore, Sep 13 (UNI) The contentious issue of the construction of the Lord Ram temple at Ayodhya will remain the core issue on the political agenda of the Bharatiya Janata Party and would be pursued till the goal was achieved.
Briefing newspersons on the second day of the National Executive Meeting, being held in the garden city here today, National General Secretary H N Ananthkumar said, ''While the Amarnath and Rama Setu are the issues of present day and found place in the poll plank, the original issues including Ayodhya, Article 370 and Common Civil Code remain on the agenda of the party till they the solved.'' Stating that BJP sticks to its stand that the Ayodhya issue should be resolved either through legislation or consensus, he said, ''there is no question of pushing the issue on the backburner, the BJP is always committed to its basic ideals.''
