Nominations invited for Vyas Samman

Bhopal, Sep 13(UNI) The Madhya Pradesh government's Culture department has invited nominations for Maharishi Ved Vyas Samman, Maharaja Agrasen Samman and Amar Shaheed Chandra Shekhar Samman by November 14.

Ved Vyas Samman comprising Rs 2 lakh in cash will be bestowed on an individual or institution for best achievement and contribution in the spheres of education and culture.

Maharaja Agrasen Samman will also carry Rs 2 lakh besides a plaque of honour.

The Azad Samman has been instituted with a view to establishing high standards of ideals of freedom struggle, patriotism and social service and will be given on the basis of constructive contribution, creative research work and special achievements. The awardee will be given Rs 1.50 lakh in cash, official sources said.
