Mob damages MSEB office over woman's death
Kolhapur, Sep 13 (UNI) Angry over the death of a 47-year-old woman, who was electrocuted after coming in contact with an electric cable lying on the road, a mob damaged office of Maharashtra State Electricity Board (MSEB) in Rajarampuri area here today.
According to police sources, the woman, identified as Mainadevi Mohanlal Mistree, was performing ''puja'' outside, when she came in contact with the electric wire lying on the road.
It was alleged that local people earlier had complained about the wire lying on the road, however MSEB did not do anything.
Soon after the incident, mob gathered near the site and ransacked the nearby MSEB office, sources added.
