Mah: Heavy Rains in Nashik District

Nashik, Sep 13: Heavy rains lashed several parts of Nashik District, including the city flooding many areas. The rains that started around 1945 hours yesterday continued throughout the night. The intensity, however, was reduced during the morning. Besides the city, rains were heavy at Chandwad, Sinnar, Igatpuri, Malegaon, Niphad, Yeola, Trimbakeshwar and other talukas of the district. In many parts of the city, rain rainwater entered houses and flooded the. Trees were uprooted in several areas.

the flow in several rivers including Godavari, Darna, Waldevi, Wagadi had increased as water was released from various reservoirs.

The water released from various dams till 0900 hours this morning is as following (In Cusecs) : Darna-8,505, Gangapur- 5,139, Palkhed-17,056, Alandi- 4,500, Kadwa-848 and Nandur-Madhyameshwar- 44,352.
